Our annual programme typically includes 6-8 Concerts in The Harpenden area and furTher afield, a caThedral tour, open singing days and The occasional recording. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings at St George’s School, Harpenden. We are known for good music making, varied repertoire including regular commissions, excellent soloists, interesting Concert venues and loyal patronage of a range of local hostelries….
We come from a wide range of musical backgrounds and have a thriving interns scheme for talented singers from local Schools.
Over our 50 year history, The Leas have sung under 11 permanent conductors and many guests, each of whom has made a distinctive contribution to our style and repertoire. In December 2011 we appointed Benjamin Goodson to take up The baton.

Cantorion was founded by Colin Jones in 1992 when he invited singers, who he knew and had taught and conducted previously in oTher Choirs across North Wales, to join his new chorus. Since Colin and John Daniel's retirement, Aled Wyn Edwards has been able to match Their skills in voice production and Choral management with The enthusiasm and commitment of some of North Wales finest male Choral singers and soloists and during The last 12 months has established a male chorus with a special sound and quality now recognised after its numerous tours and performances in many countries, worldwide.
