Led by artistic director and conductor, Jakub Martinec, the Czech Boys Choir organization provides artistic training for boys from the age of three to adult, and consists of the professional touring SATB concert Choir, the Young Men's Ensemble with conductor Jennifer Beynon Martinec, and the training Choir Zpěváček, led by Simona Hlavatá. The concert Choir closely cooperates with pianist Martin Fišl. It has become one of the most significant Czech music ensembles during its history and it is desired not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. The ensemble is currently formed by these singers: Jakub Kubín (countertenor), Martin Ptáček (tenor), Lukáš Merkl (tenor), Radek Mach (tenor), Aleš Malý (baritone), Martin Struna (baritone), Richard Uhlíř (bass), and Václav Kovář (bass). The repertoire of the ensemble includes the periods from the Gregorian chant up till arrangements of modern popular melodies while the most important part is formed by the vocal compositions of the 19th and 20th century, Czech, Moravian and Slovak folk songs and contemporary compositions which were often arranged or even composed directly for the Gentlemen Singers by composers with whom the ensemble cooperates closely (e.g. Jan Vičar, Jaroslav Krček, Jan Jirásek, Stephen Hatfield, or Mark van Platen).
