We often perform at churches- during sermons and at informal functions. Emphasis is placed on deve...  moreThis show choir, under the direction of Allison Surratt, is comprised of students ages 11-14. Students meet each week for a 60 minute class learning the fundamentals of synchronized moves and Harmony while singing popular songs. Emphasis is placed on developing good fundamental vocal skills, part-singing, sight reading, choreography, stage presence and musicianship. The Charlotte Glee Club performs at Charlotte Academy of Music as well as community events.  

We are a small, friendly chorus of women of all ages. We enjoy entertaining and competing, and have a lot of fun, whilst constantly working on improving our sound. We always welcome visitors at our rehearsals, and are always happy to recruit new members. ...  moreWe are a small, friendly chorus of women of all ages. We enjoy entertaining and competing, and have a lot of fun, whilst constantly working on improving our sound. We always welcome visitors at our rehearsals, and are always happy to recruit new members. The chorus is a member of the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers (LABBS)  

We sing contemporary acappella: unaccompanied close Harmony arrangements of jazz, pop, gospel and do-wap classics, including original arrangements by our members.

Our Singing in the Pub sessions are on the third Thursday of every second month. At the next one we'll be learning a whole song in 2/3 part Harmony in 90 minutes then jamming it with a live guitarist! Grab your friends, a drink and let's sing some sparkly tunes....The songs will be a surprise - that's part of the fun! With drinks deals at the bar - we'll have the happiest of happy hours! Everyone is welcome - everyone can sing - even the friend who insists they can't, they can! Pub singing is all about fun! No experience necessary just bring your voice and we’ll do the rest - shower singers, this is for you! 7.30pm - Arrive and drinks, 8pm - We Sing! £7 advance (plus 70p booking fee) on Meetup - Soul of the City Choir, £9 on the door Tickets sold quickly last time so we do recommend nabbing your ticket early just in case we can't fit you in on the door.
