Our thanks to Truro Choral Society, Three Spires Singers, St Mary’s Singers, Cornwall County Youth Choir, Cornwall Youth Chamber Choir and our special thanks to our soloists: - Adam Delbridge-Smith, Isabelle Thorns, Rosina Flint, Will Randlesome, Martha Jones and Freddie Parsons.

The New Choir is an auditioned Chamber Choir performing choral works from all genres. The Choir has been conducting regularly scheduled performances in the Bay Area since its founding. The members of the New Choir have been brought together by their common love for the making of beautiful music. The New Choir is dedicated to the study and performance of quality choral literature and sharing the joy and the spiritual enhancement inherent in the making of music. The New Choir has been recognized for their performances of thoughtfully prepared programs. The Choir receives frequent requests for guest performances in the San Francisco Bay area and, in March 2006, was honored with an invitation to perform at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Western Division Convention where the Choir's performance was received very warml...    less

Founded in September 2000 by a group of friends from the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, the Choir comprises mainly of recent graduates and current students of Durham University, but also welcomes Singers from all over the North East, and includes ...  moreFounded in September 2000 by a group of friends from the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, the Choir comprises mainly of recent graduates and current students of Durham University, but also welcomes Singers from all over the North East, and includes many of the region’s teachers. In May, the Choir travelled to Italy to take part in the “Venezia in Musica” International Choral Competition. They won first prize in the secular music category, came runners up in the sacred music category, and received the “Outstanding Performance” prize for Bogorditsye Dyevo by Rachmaninov. They have been awarded “Choir of the Day” at all five BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year regional rounds they have entered, and in 2008 reached the adult category finals in the Royal Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, alongside the six other best adult Choirs in the country.
