Our purpose is “to sing, in harmony, a variety of music for the enjoyment of the members as well as to give public and private performances for the listening pleasure of others”. During our musical season (September – June), the Choir practices on Monday evenings from 7 – 9:30 PM at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Richmond. In addition to our weekly practices we usually plan one or two workshops with a choral clinician, as well as evenings with guest directors.
We have two major performances per year, a Family Christmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. We are very involved with our community and, by giving benefit concerts, help to raise funds for other organizations such as the Richmond Hospice Society, Canadian Cancer Foundation and Tim Horton’s Kids Camps. Today, this spring
Is time for walking on the soft earth
In sounds that sweeten the air
And reach beyond the long dark sleep;
For sun to warm the cheek,
And quicken breath;
A time to shed the griefs
That brown the spirit of beginning;
To trust the restless energy
Demanding space and speak of life,
My own, which recreates itself in you. less

She piped for us and we would not dance;
she would have us dance and sing,
She would have us dance and sing,
to celebrate the day. . .
She would have us dance and sing,
to rejoice this night in the call of the dance. less
