Formed in November 2005, The Choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of The Choir also run a training Choir to train oTher Choirs to perform Gospel music. The small training Choir is able to travel anywhere. To da...  moreFormed in November 2005, The Choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of The Choir also run a training Choir to train oTher Choirs to perform Gospel music. The small training Choir is able to travel anywhere. To date They have travelled to Cornwall, Devon, Derbyshire, Wales, France and Germany. The whole Choir is mixed, with approximately 50 singers and performs around 30 times a year. I had The honour of making The announcement on behalf of Archbishop Desmond and Mrs Leah Tutu, who have given me permission to develop The initiative around The world, in support of Their own Justice, Peace and Reconciliation work. The Archbishop first heard Choir Invisible perform outside and inside The King's Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, on 11 July 2008, at a Civic Reception held in his honour. He was, quite simply, spellbound by The Choir and an immediate rapport was established. Upon his arrival at The King's Hall, The harmony of The Choir, singing a Swahili love song 'Malaika' (My Angel), caused him to stop and listen. PG Carnivalesque" under The patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During The performance we heard choral arrangements of hits such as: "Dancing Queen", "Memory", "California Dreamin'" and "Maria". This time it was not Mozart or Bach, but ABBA, Queen and songs from The musical West Side Story that graced The walls of The Gdansk University of Technology in carnivalesque musical artistic creations. Jazz musicians performed along with The Choir, and The musical effects were accompanied by a unique lighting arrangement, which required appropriate space and audience arrangement. The more-than-hour-long performance by The Academic Choir of The Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by musicians from The Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, ended with joint singing, encores and a standing ovation.  less
