We are an adult all-volunteer Chorus with a membership that spans nationalities, generations and professions — united by a passion for Music and singing. Some of our members have had a lifetime of Music and choral experience; others are only just beginning to discover the joy of singing. Whichever stage our members are experiencing in their personal Musical journeys, the IFC is filled with enriching opportunities to learn and grow both as Musicians and as individuals. The IFC is committed to sharing our love for Music and choral singing with the community through two formal concerts a year and additional performances at private and public events.  less

Original members: Margareta Bengtson, Katarina Henryson, Anders Edenroth, Peder Karlsson and Anders Jalkéus. Later members: Emma Nilsdotter, Morten Vinther, Janis Strazdins, Lisa Östergren and Anton Forsberg.

The choir welcomes new members at the...  moreThe Gettin’ Higher choir seeks to embrace and celebrate humanity’s highest aspirations through Music, welcoming people of all ages and cultures. We are not associated with any particular religion or spiritual path. The choir welcomes new members at the beginning of each season in September and February. There is no audition, and no vocal experience is required, just a desire to sing in harmony with others. Our aim is to re-integrate singing into the daily routines of life. We sing for the pure joy and pleasure it gives us, in an atmosphere that is fun, relaxed, and accepting. Our repertoire consists of both traditional and new songs from many cultures. The majority are sung a cappella (unaccompanied) in 4-part harmony. The choir is divided into three chapters, each practicing the same material on either Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
