Te Deum was founded by Matthew Christopher Shepard in 2008 to fulfill an expressed need by both singers and audiences in the Kansas City area to present sacred choral Music concerts of the highest quality. The Te Deum Chamber choir performed its first concert in spring 2009. Since then, the chamber choir has built an impressive and varied repertoire that spans centuries of time and wide ranges of composition style. We perform mainly, but not exclusively, classic...  moreThe Barnes choir, originally known as the Barnes Music Club choir, was established in 1953/4. A friendly and sociable choir, we number some70 singers drawn mostly from the Barnes, Sheen and Richmond areas. We perform mainly, but not exclusively, classical choral works, including those of local composers such as Howard Goodall and Gustav Holst, and we occasionally commission new works, most recently from Russell Hepplewhite. We perform three concerts each season at local venues and we also sing at local charitable events at Christmas, and at summer fêtes, and we raise funds for local cancer support charity The Mulberry Centre at our Christmas Carol concert. We offer an open Come and Sing day each season and arrange overseas singing tours, our most recent being a trip to Lisbon last autumn.  less
