Each Funky Voices rehearsal is taught by highly qualified and experienced music tutors. Sandra Colston BA Hons (Musical Director) arranges the music to suit the choir members, and to bring the music up to date and possible for a choir to sing. The Sound With passions for vocal harmonies, and personal influences being likes of; Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Luther Vandross, Brian McKnight, Michael Jackson. The aim is to bring a similar vocal energy to Funky Voices… From Emotional rich harmonies to Feel-good dance tracks, our repertoire includes, including “Take That”, “Michael Jackson”, “Queen”, “Supertramp”, making it an exciting and enjoyable experience for everyone. Rehearsals are Fridays, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm in Dresden-Strehlen. Invited are people from age 16, regardless of their origin or their faith, to get to know fellowship and Christian love. With about 150 Singers, an organization team of 12 permanent members, a professional engineering and logistics crew, a band consisting of professional musicians and a passionate director Gospelnight Dresden fulfills all requirements to offer visitors of worship a memorable evening in meeting with the joy of the Gospel. Every season by collections we support a project for people in need with 2000-3000 €.  less

We perform at least three concerts per year with professional orchestras or accompaniment in the major Dublin venues and over the years have undertaken trips to choral festivals abroad. Two regular events are the ever-popular Christmas Concert in the NCH and the Carmichael Centre’s annual fund-raising concert in St, Patrick’s Cathedral, formerly on Good Friday but latterly in May.
