Founded in November 2015, The Choir aims to feature The best of Filipino Choral Artistry while providing opportunities for its members to develop Their talents. The Group performs a wide range of repertoire that spans from Classical, Contemporary and Sacred scores to Folk, Secular and Popular music. In July 29 - August 01 2025, DCS marked a milestone as it embarked on its fifth international tour to The Taipei International Choir Competition held at Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan. In 2003, Matjaž Šček, The conductor of The group, was replaced by Andreja Martinjak, who performed regularly with The choir and took part in national and international choir competitions where The choir as well as The conductor were winning numerous prizes and awards. The greatest achievements of The choir include a gold plaque, awarded in The 20th Slovenian national choir competition, Naša pesem (Our song) 2007 and The second place in The 9th international choir competition in Maribor 2008, where The choir also won a special prize for The best Slovenian choir of The competition. In 2008 we celebrated The 80th anniversary of The birth of Slovenian composer Pavle Merkú with a special cycle of concerts.
