The Song is arranged with modern vocal effect and technique to express the atmosphere and environment of the poem. The poem describes a girl who has long been waiting for her lover to come back from far away. The clatter of horse hoofs has given her hope. However, it is just a passer-by, not her lover.

Juni 2021, feiert der Mitbegründer der legendären Band Toto, David Paich, seinen 67. Geburtstag. Er komponierte 1982 den Welthit „Rosanna“ und bezog sich nach eigener Aussage bei diesem Lied auf alle Frauen, die er kannte. Der Song gewann 1983 einen Grammy Award als Single des Jahres. Wir präsentieren euch zusammen mit den Blechbläsern von Pro Brass Limburg nun unsere eigene spezielle Version von "Rosanna". Das Bläserarrangement stammt von Rob Baltus, unserem Tenor, während unser Chorleiter und Groove Master Andrea Figallo das Arrangement für den Chor beisteuerte. Sämtliche Illustrationen inkl. Dec 2010 in the Sandnes kirke. As you may observe, former members of the choir (those without the burgundy coates) are welcomed up to join the choir in this finale Song in each concert, as it has been for 37 years in a row! (And if they are observed by the conductor when arriving to the churc and choose NOT to join, they are very kindly told to do so! This caused a special occasion in this concert: a mother and a daughter singing in the same choir! :-)) This year our guest conductor Inger Lise Hope, also a former member, took on the job at short notice because of illness. Indeed, she did a great job in three concerts!  less
