Calalang, Jr. This speaks of an earnest call to be united under one nation - the Philippines. Performed by the Malabon Concert Singers as their chosen "maka-bayan" piece at the 5th Biñan National Choral Competition last February 3, 2022. Conducted by Mr. Anthony Go Villanueva, the choir emerged as Champion at the conclusion of the contest.

We are resident at St. Matthew's parish church in Chapel Allerton. We rehearsal three times a month, on a Friday evening and Sing four services a month, including EvenSong on the first Sunday of every month. We also often host come and Sing days and various workshops, our two most recent projects have been on Buxtehude's Membra Jesu Nostri and Mozart's Requiem. In the 1970s I visited Poland twice and fell in love with Polish choral music -- and Lulajże Jezuniu became one of my favourite Christmas carols in any language. While flying from Ottawa to Vancouver in December 2017, I felt inspired and arranged most of this piece while at 30,000 feet! I must have been quite a sight conducting away in my aisle seat, with my head phones plugged into my computer. I have dedicated Lulajże Jezuniu to the late Adam and Helena Kmiotek, who showed me such generosity of spirit as my hosts in Szczecin during my second Polish trip.
