When they perform, you can feel the choir’s joy and dedication and the passion for music which is shared by the 45 members and their conductor Friedrich-Wilhelm Möller. In addition to pop songs, the repertoire comprises pieces of latin, gospel, jazz and swing music for up to eight voices and primarily a cappella. The choir has over the years committed itself to staging concerts and singing quality choral gospel and patriotic songs to win souls for God and instilling patriotism in Ghanaian citizens and other African countries. During the 1990s the Chorale helped re-establish this historic church’s secondary role as a center for culture and Community. ADC’s artistic success and benefit to the Cathedral Community inspired additional collaborations with other Dallas cultural institutions. In 2001 The Cathedral Chorale became the Arts District Chorale, receiving its non-profit 501(c)(3) status in 2004.
