Transcending mere language, live choral performance allows audiences to experience the beauty, complexity and distinctiveness of living cultural heritage. The Or Y-a choir is a women's choir under the direction of Nomi Teplow. The choir is comprised of women of all ages from all over Samaria in Israel who come together to sing in a variety of Musical styles in close harmony, to learn to sing and to have a good time.

The Peninsula Girls Chorus strives toward a high level of Musicianship paired with sensitive interpretations of Music from a variety of genres. In our quest to become global citizens of the 21st century, the PGC performs both locally and abroad. We provide a valuable resource to our local community through assorted outreach performances and we participate in prestigious domestic and international Music festivals. In addition to Musical benefits, the PGC offers opportunities for the development of leadership skills, higher-order thinking, discipline and self-esteem. We teach Music, and in the process our girls learn something equally valuable—responsibility.  less

Formed in November 2005, the choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of the choir also run a training choir to train other choirs to perform Gospel Music. The small training choir is able to travel anywhere. To da...  moreFormed in November 2005, the choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of the choir also run a training choir to train other choirs to perform Gospel Music. The small training choir is able to travel anywhere. To date they have travelled to Cornwall, Devon, Derbyshire, Wales, France and Germany. The whole choir is mixed, with approximately 50 singers and performs around 30 times a year. This group is made up of 10 singers and performers all under the age of 25, giving VanDeca a Youthful and fresh take on every genre, from classical to pop, Musical theatre to jazz, and everything in between! Each singer in VanDeca comes from a different Musical background, shaping who we are as a group. Having only been in existence since November of 2011, this group has big plans to shape the face of choral Music in Vancouver, encouraging our audience to feel connected with our performances through multi-genre pieces, and using movement and amazing sound to inspire others to become involved with their local choral groups.  less
