The Adutl Choir Includes More Than 60 amateurs, who belong to various social, scientific and cultural groups and segments: school and university students, employees, teachers, engineers, doctors, parents ... and from different denominations and religions of Syrian society and Syrian Cities and Governorates, who were brought together, due to war conditions, in the City of Tartous. The first objective of establishing this Choir was to integrate choral music into our local musical culture as a new type of sung music whereby the Choir presents international choral works to its Syrian audience. Why not come along and try a free taster!? Choose from either 27th September or 4th October. Whether complete beginner, shower singer or more experienced singer, this Choir welcomes you! There are no auditions and no requirements to read music, you just need to love to sing! This term we will be celebrating the amazing feeling of singing in, and being surrounded by harmony and, especially with the venue we'll be rehearsing in, it's set to be a good one! As ever we'll be singing classic pop and soul songs, perhaps with a curve ball surprise just for fun, no winter blues for us! Choir runs from 27th September - 13th December. 11 rehearsals, 1 dress rehearsal and a gig on Saturday 18th December. If you love your taster and decide to join for the term, the term fee is £100. The Sierra Boys Choir is the new revival of the Sierra Boys Choir in the 1970s, which was active in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area and directed by Stan Burke. When Mr. Burke joined the Mario Singers and left to move to Long Beach, CA, the Choir was disbanded and a hole was left in the local arts and culture scene. The revival of the Choir is a project (and passion) of Nathan Lundholm. Our goal is to provide musical and artistic opportunities to the boys while teaching them to be generous and thankful members of the local and global community. Our aim is to be fun and entertaining on many levels, from practices to shows, even to social events on the town.
