It is a Choir ensemble of about 25 people, mainly amateurs. They share an incredible passion for music and are keen on spreading their positive singing energy. The Choir is known for its modern choral music repertoire, consisting of songs from all over the world as well as pop music masterpieces. The group was awarded a silver medal in pop music category during 5th 'Music Everywhere Festival' in Gdansk in 2019. So far, the Choir has performed in several places in Poland, often the non-obvious ones, trying to make choral music available to everyone. The Choir’s conductor, Zuzanna Popiołkiewicz, graduated from Conducting faculty at the Academy of Music in Gdansk. In 2012, as a representative of Poland, she led music workshops for the American organization 'Singers of United Lands' in 23 US states, Canada, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Zambia. The Adutl Choir Includes More Than 60 amateurs, who belong to various social, scientific and cultural groups and segments: school and university students, employees, teachers, engineers, doctors, parents ... and from different denominations and religions of Syrian society and Syrian Cities and Governorates, who were brought together, due to war conditions, in the City of Tartous. The first objective of establishing this Choir was to integrate choral music into our local musical culture as a new type of sung music whereby the Choir presents international choral works to its Syrian audience. Why not come along and try a free taster!? Choose from either 27th September or 4th October. Whether complete beginner, shower singer or more experienced singer, this Choir welcomes you! There are no auditions and no requirements to read music, you just need to love to sing! This term we will be celebrating the amazing feeling of singing in, and being surrounded by harmony and, especially with the venue we'll be rehearsing in, it's set to be a good one! As ever we'll be singing classic pop and soul songs, perhaps with a curve ball surprise just for fun, no winter blues for us! Choir runs from 27th September - 13th December. 11 rehearsals, 1 dress rehearsal and a gig on Saturday 18th December. If you love your taster and decide to join for the term, the term fee is £100.
