Boosting about 190 choristers ages 5 to 18, The HCC offers Youth vocal training and music instruction to foster creative expression and appreciation of music. Its latest Choir program, Lads & Gents, is a Boys Choir program that provides young male singers (ages 8 to 28) with an opportunity to explore Their Choral instrument within a safe, supportive environment, surrounded by oTher Boys and young men.
An internationally-acclaimed and award-winning Choir, The HCC has been invited to tour across Canada, Europe and more recently Saint-Lô, France for The Polyfollia Concert (Oct. 21-26, 2014), a biennial world showcase and marketplace for Choral singing. Founded in New York City in 2008 by Artistic Director Vince Peterson, The organization now encompasses: a roster of professional ensemble singers, a volunteer chorus of 40-50 adults and an annual week-long Summer Institute in Brooklyn for composers and conductors.
The culture of The organization marries informality, loving support and joyful curiosity, with The expectation of solid and technical musicianship, constant learning and openness toward The unexpected.

As The introduction states, Eric Whitacre's famous "Sleep" was originally composed to Robert Frost's "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening", but when Whitacre realized The Frost estate was not releasing permission for musical settings of The poem, Charles Silvestri wrote The poem "Sleep" around The music Whitacre had written. To honor The inspiration The poem gave Mr. Whitacre, and to furTher honor all poets who inspire Choral composers, we presented this beloved piece with The original Frost lyrics. less

At The beginning, PSM-ITB sang only in campus society and subs... moreOn February 11th 1962, few ITB students established Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Bandung (PSM-ITB or ITB Student Choir) which was The first university-based Choir in Indonesia.
At The beginning, PSM-ITB sang only in campus society and subsequently performed in public. However since 1973, it participated in various national Choir competitions and repeatedly won The first prizes. This led PSM-ITB to become one of The most established Choirs in Indonesia. In several occasions, The Choir has been given The chance to perform in events attended by The President of Indonesia. It regularly performs in Concerts, occasionally collaborated with oTher Choirs and orchestras.
In 1968 PSM-ITB organized The 1st ITB Choir Festival (FPS-ITB). Since Then The festival is held biannually and becomes The largest national Choir event in term of categories (from children to adult and folklore catagories) and participants.
