The Or Y-a Choir is a women's Choir under the direction of Nomi Teplow. The Choir is comprised of women of all ages from all over Samaria in Israel who come together to sing in a variety of Musical styles in close harmony, to learn to sing and to have a good time.

Recently we have sung at a large church inter-denominational christmas gathering and the highlight of the year to sing at a wedding at the request of the Bride and Groom.

We are a truly trans-generational Choir consisting of staff, parents, colleagues, friends and family from across the Formby High School community. At full strength, we have over 80 talented members and we have recently launched a smaller ‘function’ group – the ‘G:Force Executive’ for weddings and private functions. We support the national Sing Up campaign and perform regularly across the local community. This exciting and innovative Choir rehearses every Tuesday evening during term time, from 6.30pm til 8.00pm. Join us for fun and laughter every week, plus great gigs, inspirational songs and memorable experiences! We have been invited by Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire, UK, to sing as "Choir in residence" for a week in July 2014, taking over their Choir's duties of singing 8 services that week. We are the only Hawai'i Choir to belong to the Royal School of Church Music, and we use their adjudication standards to award medals which are internationally recognized by the RSCM. We sing sacred Music in English, Latin, and Hawaiian. We are always looking for new choristers. Auditions are year-around, although placement occurs only in fall semester and spring semester.
