The members live at different places throughout the country. Five times a year they gather in different places in Norway to share music with each other and their audience. The singers have a true passion for singing and performing music, which captures the audience in a way that makes them feel like they take part of a musical journey that Via Vitae guides them through. The choir shows the way through a wide repertoire of choral music, both secular and church music, rhythmical and classical music. As a result of the love they had for choir music, they felt a need for a school choir to ...  moreUviwe Senior Secondary School Choir, shortly know as Uviwe SSS Choir was founded in 1997 by a group of students, most of whom used to sing in various church choirs. As a result of the love they had for choir music, they felt a need for a school choir to be established. From the first year of its existence, choir was trained and prepared for the schools’ eisteddfods by two fellow students. In 1998, they both matriculated. In the following year these students continued with the choir training and were compensated for their services by the School Governing Body (SGB). In 2001 they were snatched by nearby schools that were willing to pay them better wages and the SGB had to look for other people who could assist with choir training from the community. This continued until 2004, when the school employed a teacher who studied music at university. In 2009 another teacher, who studied music too, came and volunteered his services at the school. But not all men’s choirs are like that and Bournemouth Male Voice Choir certainly isn’t. Not only is our music diverse – spanning everything from Palestrina and Poulenc to Take That and Queen – but the range of venues we sing in and the diversity of our members’ interests means that BMVC has something for everyone.
