Se inician en el canto polifónico postulando primero a la Cor... moreEl Coro está dirigido por el Maestro Arturo Hernández desde 1992. Ha ofrecido cerca de 400 presentaciones. Lo forman estudiantes de las especialidades que ofrece la Universidad de Piura (Perú). Se inician en el canto polifónico postulando primero a la Coral Universitaria, por donde han pasado cerca de mil jóvenes diferentes en los últimos 15 años. Los más destacados, son admitidos en el Coro, donde se perfeccionan a través de ensayos semanales, bajo la dirección del Maestro Hernández. Normalmente actúan entre 35 y 50 jóvenes, que saben armonizar su tiempo de clases y estudio con los ensayos. Desde 1989 el Coro y la Coral son promovidos por el Dr. Luis Eguiguren Callirgos.

Jacksonville Univeristy Choirs and Don Thomson Chorale perform the World Premier of "Kyrie" by Santiago Veros making a professional recording in Terry Concert Hall under the direction of Dr. Julian Bryson.
This is the Santiago Veros' most ambitious project yet: a Mass constructed year by year, forming an unparalleled consortium. Every movement of this mass is powered by a distinct consortium, uniting choirs from every corner of the earth. Year after year, we unveil new segments, slowly revealing the full magnificence of this work.
Our journey is set to culminate in 2030, by which time we aim to have united 50 choirs in this extraordinary musical voyage. This video offers you a glimpse into the genesis of this grand endeavor, a celebration of collective spirit and musical innovation.

This is the Choir’s 99th album to be released. Founded in the 1670s, the Choir is known for its distinctive rich, warm sound, its expressive interpretations and its breadth of repertoire. Alongside these musical characteristics, the Choir is particularly proud of its happy, relaxed and mutually supportive atmosphere. The Choir is directed by Andrew Nethsingha following a long line of eminent Directors of Music, recently Dr George Guest, Dr Christopher Robinson and Dr David Hill.
The Choir is made up of around 20 Choristers and Probationers from St John’s College School and 15 Choral Scholars who are members of St John’s College, its primary purpose being to enhance the liturgy and worship at daily services in the College Chapel.
