We aim to give two or three concerts each year, plus a Christmas concert of Music and readings. We are based in the village of Rolleston-on-Dove near Burton-upon-Trent, and draw our members – numbering around 50 at present - from a wide area of East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire. In May, 2013, composer Ola Gjeilo spent 3 days on...  more"Ubi Caritas II: Through Infinite Ages" (Ola Gjeilo) is sung by The Central Washington University Chamber Choir (Gary Weidenaar, director), with an improvised piano accompaniment played by the composer. In May, 2013, composer Ola Gjeilo spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus to join the Choir in recording 4 of his pieces. The other three were "Sanctus", "Luminous Night of the Soul", and "Vast Eternal Skies" This performance of Gjeilo's "Ubi Caritas II" is from that session, which included a rendition of the piece sung in in its published (unaccompanied) version as well. This was Mr. Gjeilo's second time on our campus, the first was in the spring of 2011, which resulted in 5 videos and a DVD (http://goo.gl/Xld0o) As of 2013, the CWU Chamber Choir also has recorded videos of the Music of Byrd, Monteverdi, Muehleisen, Singh, Victoria, and Rautavaara on YouTube. We now h...  moreThe Royal Free Music Society is a Choir based at the Royal Free Hospital in North London. The Choir was founded in 1999 by staff of the hospital. These days, some of our members are hospital staff whilst others are members of the local community. We now have approximately 45 members in all and come together regularly to enjoy high-quality Music-making whilst having fun.
