The Choir performed onstage for the first time on 12th August 2017, in the city of Batumi in Georgia. This concert was organized under the auspices of the Turkish consulate general in Batumi, in the concert hall of the Zakaria Paliashvili Music School. A selection of modern polyphonic songs from various cultures were performed and the performance received great praise from the audience. Then the Choir respectively appeared in front of audiences in Ankara, Kastamonu and Adana, followeed by their participation in Turkey Choirs Festival in June. Then in August, Anchorus participated in the competition episode of the “Orhid Choir Festival” which was held in the town of Orhid in Macedonia.

During the 1990s the Chorale helped re-establish this historic church’s secondary role as a center for culture and community. ADC’s artistic success and benefit to the Cathedral community inspired additional collaborations with other Dallas cultural institutions. In 2001 The Cathedral Chorale became the Arts District Chorale, receiving its non-profit 501(c)(3) status in 2004.
Arts District Chorale is now a signature all-volunteer ensemble of 60 gifted amateur and professional vocalists from all walks of life which annually presents four large-scale season events and ten to fifteen smaller events in collaboration with the world-class cultural venues of the downtown Dallas Arts District. This performance was the closing song for the inaugural Choral Exchange between the Girl Choir and the Singing Sons. Choristers from both organizations spent an afternoon making music together, performing for and learning from each other, culminating in a performance for family, friends, and fans of both organizations. less
