World Champions (Scenic Folklore - WCG2012). The premier performance ensemble of Kearsney College, a leading independent high school for boys in South Africa. Winners of 10 Gold Medals (incl 3 World Champion Titles) at the World choir Games 2000-2012. Boys join the choir as an extra-curricular activity, amid academic, sporting and other cultural activities. Approx. 40 performances per year, including national/international tours.  less

Το λιμπρέτο της είναι ένας ύμνος του Λούθηρου. Κάθε ένα από τα επτά μέρη της καντάτας είναι και ένας στίχος του ύμνου, με τη μορφή variation. Ο Bach γράφει συμμετρικά: χορωδιακό – ντουέτο – σόλο – χορωδιακό – σόλο – ντουέτο – χορωδιακό. Στο κέντρο (4ος στίχος) είναι η μάχη ανάμεσα στη ζωή και στον θάνατο. The choir delights ...  moremen2sing are a vibrant group, singing songs that cross many different styles of music. Using the simple view that a good song is a good song, has meant that they bring together a collection of pieces that appeal to a wide audience. The choir delights in introducing new songs that are connected by their unique choral sound, rather than from a particular genre and it is this wide appeal and their sense of fun that has meant the group is in constant demand and continually attracts new members. Even in its early days the choir never quite conformed to the accepted norms of what should be included in their repertoire. However, this in no way hindered its appeal and it went on to win a number and prestigious competitions including one of the largest Eisteddfods for male choirs in Wales, an award for services to the arts from Chelmsford City Council and passed the advanced choral singing examination of The Associated Board of the Royal College of Music Successive musical directors contributed the choir`s ...    less
