All interested singers are invited to schedule an audition for Wednesday January 28th, February 4th or February 11th at 6:30pm. The ensemble, directed by Jason Asbury, is a community chorus based in Brooklyn Heights. The 75-member ensemble meets in Brooklyn and is made up of neighbors who range in skill from semi-professional to newbies! Concerts include well known and little-known masterpieces of choral literature from Early Music to Contemporary composers and commissions by Brooklyn musicians. It is also a centre for social justice and community activities. in recent years, the church has been developing music in our Sunday services with a range of genres, classical, jazz, gospel, and world music. The church has also created several unique events led by our musicians. These have included our annual Christmas Candlelight service, Good Friday evening performances and smaller events to commemorate such occasions as Black History Month, a remembrance event in the Covid pandemic.
