In 2007 the name was changed to"VIVA, Sandnes Kulturskolekor", Viva for short, when we talk about us. Our leading text for working with the children is what Pablo Casals once said: "Each second we live is a new and special moment, a never returning moment. The Devonshires’ defense took place in a violent thunderstorm, when rain and hail fell in sheets to impede visibility. The line ‘Fetter and Faint for England’s neck, Faggot and Father, Saint and chain’ graphically talks about what would have happened if the faggot (a bundle of sticks) had burned the English because the Spanish thought of them as heretics. In mid-April, 2011, Ola spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus for a project in which he joined the choir in recording 3 of his compositions. On this video, Gjeilo adds an improvised accompaniment (in a one-take rendition) to his setting of the Ubi Caritas text -- which is published as an unaccompanied piece. Because of his view that improvising is a wonderful snapshot of artists "at that moment", the project was entitled "In the Moment".  less
