No audition required.

The group’s repertory is quite Wide and eclectic and ranges from sacred and secular early music to contemporary works. Besides singing some of The most important Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces, by composers such as Victoria, Palestrina, Byrd, Monteverdi, Purcell, Handel and Bach, The group has also premiered several contemporary pieces and made first modern auditions of many Portuguese Renaissance and Baroque works. Christopher Bochmann, Ivan Moody, Bob Chilcott, Luis Tinoco, Eurico Carrapatoso and Vasco Mendonça are some of The composers who dedicated works to Grupo Vocal Olisipo. Grupo Vocal Olisipo attended several masterclasses led by some of The world leading vocal ensembles, such as The King's Singers and The Hilliard Ensemble and was coached in The performance of Baroque music by Jill Feldman. The choir has a high calibre of singers drawn by its demanding musical standard and The opportunity to explore recently created music. Among The group's twenty-four members are piano and voice teachers, soloists, choir directors, organists and oThers with musical training. The ensemble has previously reached The quarter- and semi-finals of The CBC Radio Competition for Amateur Choirs. It has since grown from a small choral group to a self-run community choir with a Wide ranging repertoire, performing music that bridges cultures and unites faith traditions. The project won an ABC award in December 2009 at The Royal Society for The Arts and was cited by The judging panel as ”an excellent, innovative way of bringing people togeTher through a shared passion for music”. Koruso! host performances at least twice a year and to date has performed at a variety of venues across its home borough and beyond. Members come from all walks of life and all across Southwark. We enjoy singing togeTher every Thursday from 6:30pm at Oliver Goldsmiths Primary School, Peckham Road. It has performed with The Temecula Vintage Singers, and for The Temecula Arts in The Country festival, as well as many local appearances for deserving organizations. The chorus rehearses and performs in The Temecula area. The chorus is one of The Resident Companies performing at The Old Town Temecula Community Theater. All women are welcome, who can carry a tune and love to sing. Even in its early days The choir never quite conformed to The accepted norms of what should be included in Their repertoire.
