But THE attendees enjoyed it so much THEy wanted it to become a regular thing. So now, 2 and a bit years later we are now a weekly session! We sing anything from Richard Smallwood, Kirk Franklin, Jonathan Nelson and even Kanye! We meet every Wednesday evening from 7:30pm in Enfield, London, UK

Very much (but not exclusively) in THE barbershop stlye. Even though we have only been going a few months, our numbers have been increasing weekly as more and more people are seduced by THE magical sound of ringing chords. We aim to be a serious performing chorus in due course. We have had a very successful 2012 and hope for even better in 2013 where we have a whole host of exciting things planned. Stay tuned! We'd very much be interested in meeting/collaborating with oTHEr choirs in our area. We are on Facebook so have a little look and maybe come and sing a few baas with us!  less

THE two outer movements draw THEir words and inspiration from boisterous cries of 17th century market vendors as once featured in 'THE Cries of London' by Orlando Gibbbons. THE second movement features THE words of a Scottish poet, William Dunbar (c. 1460-c.1520), in which he praises THE English capital, and includes THE line 'London, thou art THE flower of cities all'. TogeTHEr, THEse settings evoke a surprisingly contemporary impression of London's sights, sounds, and moods, inspiring some irresistible music, by turns contemplative and unquenchably thrilling. This 'capital' cantata was written in 2001 for THE Diamond Jubilee of THE Barnet Choral Society, of which Chilcott is President.  less

Goal of ...  moreTHE Youth Choir Melissanthi was founded as THE Children’s Choir of Alexandria Municipality in 1987 aiming to THE creation of a youth musical cradle in THE town and so far has become a major attraction for Children and young people of THE city. Goal of THE choir is equally THE choral and music development of its members and THE contribution to THE cultural development of Alexandria and THE surrounding area. Although it started as a small ensemble singing monophonic or at best diphone melodies without instrumental accompaniment, today has more than 80 choristers, mostly girls, 10-25 years old, and interprets as a triphonic choir almost all kinds of music, with an emphasis on THE music of THE nations and Greek composers.
