Each winter and summer, Chris Rowbury gathers a random bunch of singers from in and around Ipswich. there are no auditions and all songs are taught and learnt by ear. We considered ourselves to be in a sort of nomansland sociologically, each for different reasons, but the Vosges valleys provided the most beautiful "nomansland" imaginable for our discussions. Choir Invisible (the real one!) sings for Archbishop Desmond Tutu as he arrived in the UK on July 11th 2008. the song, 'Malaika' is in Swahili (My Angel). Film clip is at the Moment of arrival, before the concert which took place in the King's Hall, Stoke-on-Trent.

Now in its 3rd year, That Choir combines a high level of performance with a Deep love of the choral art as one of Toronto’s newest choral groups. That Choir was formed in the spring of 2008 by Craig Pike and 14 of his actor friends who wanted to create an...  is).getParent().getNext().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">moreisplay:none;">Now in its 3rd year, That Choir combines a high level of performance with a Deep love of the choral art as one of Toronto’s newest choral groups. That Choir was formed in the spring of 2008 by Craig Pike and 14 of his actor friends who wanted to create and share a music experience together. That Choir now brings together over 25 members with diverse backgrounds in work and study, and a mixture of trained and untrained voices. New Canadian artists are important for That Choir to nurture and have already performed new works by J. Scott Brubacher as well as Reza Jacobs in December 2010. Also in December of 2010, That Choir invited Canadian theatre Artist Nancy Palk to read Dylan Thomas's " A Child's Christmas in Wales" as part of That Choir Carols - an annual celebration of the Holidays. TCS latest performances included the Creation of Haydn, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Mass in Blue of Todd, Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle. the Choir also perform a Christmas Concert every year. Overall we perform three main concerts a year. During its performances TCS enjoys the participation of professional soloists and orchestras and ensembles. Phil Culling is our accompanist. With past successes and imaginative programming, TCS is thriving. We are always glad to welcome new singers, regardless of age; especiallly those who enjoy their music making.
