His initial claim was also to promote new soloists a...  more The Rías Baixas Choir was presented in Vigo in January 2014 with the purpose of replacing the lack of choral formations that could collaborate with orchestras and chamber groups in Galicia (NW Spain). His initial claim was also to promote new soloists and serve as a tool for new and established composers specially from the Rias Baixas area. The choir already has more than sixty performances, both self-managed and scheduled in various cycles or festivals such as Outono Lírico, Vigo Sinfónico, Barcia de Mera Religious Music Series, Nas Ondas, Portico Sonoro, Explurart, Cooltural Cambados and II Festival Groba. In these performances they have interpreted several fundamental works of the choral repertoire in all kind of stages of the four Galician provinces, both a capella and with instrumental accompaniment. We actively participate in cultural life of the towns of our influence, like Colmenarejo or Galapagar and in other towns like El Escorial or Valdemorillo, performing at Christmas, Easter, the festivity or "Galapajazz" as "opening act" of "Manhattan Transfer" and Art Garfunkel. We sang in PORTUGAL, Burgos Cathedral, the Church of the Magdalene Torrelaguna, the Monastery of St.. Domingo de Silos, Mecerreyes Church and Collegiate Covarrubias (Burgos), the Iglesia de la Santa Cruz of Carballiño (Orense), the Iglesia de Sta. María of Requena (Valencia), Ntra. Sra. del Buen Suceso or Las Calatravas in Madrid and at Mass on Sundays TVE issues, from the parish of Los Arroyos (El Escorial). We organize the Choral Events of Colmenarejo. She has already heard her brother Arac practising that song in which he gradually removes all his cumbersome armour, and she decides it is also a song for her. Arac and his fellow guardsmen stand back and watch in great amusement as she performs her version of the song for them.

Between 2002 and 2008, Alegria Chamber Choir performed under the scope of Ankara Çoksesli Müzik derneği (Ankara Polyphonic Music Association), a prestigious association which was founded in 1974. Since 2008, the choir has been extending his repertoire and performing fully independently as a non-profit and non-governmental organization. The purpose of Alegria is to introduce to large audiences the world’s choir repertoire from different periods and regions.
