Five times a year they gather in different places in Norway to share music with each other and their audience. the singers have a true passion for singing and performing music, which captures the audience in a way that makes them feel like they take part of a musical journey that Via Vitae guides them through. the choir shows the way through a wide repertoire of choral music, both secular and church music, rhythmical and classical music. they present a program that includes music you feel like dancing to as well as music you feel like meditating to. Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. the Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the character and the main concept of both parts is joining music, vacation, friendship and fun. the idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and Katerini. Students meet each week for a 60 minute class learning the fundamentals of synchronized moves and harmony while singing popular songs. Emphasis is placed on developing good fundamental vocal skills, part-singing, sight reading, choreography, stage presence and musicianship. the Charlotte Glee Club performs at Charlotte Academy of Music as well as community events.
