On December 1, 2013, Bel Canto Choir Vilnius rocked the country’s choral music scene and accomplished unthinkable. Da tempo impegnato in attività concertistica e nello studio del repertorio corale sacro e profano a cappella e concertato, è stato invitato a numerosi Festival e Rassegne Nazionali ed Internazionali, con grandi riscontri di critica e pubblico. Dal 2015, ha realizzato, con l’Orchestra barocca S. Teresa dei Maschi, prime esecuzioni in puglia di grandi opere barocche storiche: Bach Johannes Passion, Oratori di Pasqua e Natale; Monteverdi Vespro della Beata Vergine. Importante l’impegno nella ricerca ed esecuzione di musica di autori pugliesi inedita: Fago Salmi e Magnificat; Nenna, Felis, Radesca villanelle e madrigali; Cafaro Responsori. Their diverse repertoire ranges from Mozart and Rutt...  moreAmicantus Choir is a group of good friends and very talented musicians based in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire under the leadership of one of the Midlands leading Musical Directors, Miss Maddy Evans. Their diverse repertoire ranges from Mozart and Rutter to Take That and Snow Patrol with a good dose of musicals and Disney thrown in for good measure. The seeds of the Choir were first planted back in mid-2012 when Maddy was asked to set up a choir to perform a small concert at her local church near to Stratford Upon Avon. The choir are all good friends and met in a variety of ways from other choirs, bands and performing arts groups. Since their first concert, they have grown to become one of the best and most revered choirs in the Midlands and have performed at countless venues from the Birmingham German Christmas Markets to Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebrations in Stratford Upon Avon to their very first concert in Warwick in June 2013. We rehearse at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. We aim to unite and represent our community through our joy of singing. The choir has over sixty singers rehearsing each week and the main focus in rehearsals is preparation for performances. These performances can take the form of concerts and appearances in festivals and other events in the local community.
