The 54-voice ensemble has performed throughout The world in Concert performances and Choral festivals to great acclaim. They are widely recognized for presenting and preserving great works of Choral literature from a wide range of traditions from around The world that express The region’s diversity. The group is equally committed to innovative and dramatic presentations, as well as promoting The Choral art through The premieres of new works by Stephen Schwartz, Richard Burchard, Eric William Barnum, and Joshua Shank, to name a few. However, he managed to leave a lot of song harmonizations and a ...  more Aghias Triados Children's Choir was established in 1967 by a talented young musician, Theodore Papakonstantinou (1948-1969), who had time only to install The foundations of The Choir. However, he managed to leave a lot of song harmonizations and a significant Mass, which is sung by The Choir in The Aghias Triados church of Thessaloniki. From 1969 till now, The Choir continues its work successfully having as its director his elder broTher Vassilis Papakonstantinou, with whom it has given many Concerts in more than fifty cities in Greece and aboard, as well. It has visited Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerlandn, Hungary, Czech, Bulgaria, France etc. It has won first prices and gold metals in Choir competitions. One of The most important parts of Aghias Triados Children's Choir's history is its participation with European Union Youth Orchestra and Vienna's Youth Choir, to The performance (AThens, 1985) of The third Symphony of Leonard Bernstein under The direction of The composer.  less

Founded in 1977, The Choir has gained a well-deserved reputation for performing neglected and unfamiliar music as well as better known and popular pieces, both sacred and secular. We rehearse at The Bundoora campus of La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Our objectives are to rehearse and perform Choral music, to participate in InterVarsity Choral Festivals and to do whatever else seems relevant. The Society is a non-auditioned Choir, but it has been suggested that we could have a small, auditioned group within The society (perhaps called "Graduate Singers" or such like). AnoTher possibility is that we could sing at graduation ceremonies in Union Hall. AnoTher possibility is a joint Concert with anoTher UCS. and what sort of music should we sing? Madrigals?
