In August 2009, Mikko Sidoroff started his work as The choir’s conductor. The choir’s repertoire mainly consists of a wide variety of a cappella songs. The choir can be found performing in Turku as well as oTher cities many times throughout The year. Traditionally, There is a quartet concert in January, a spring concert right after May Day (Vappu) and an advent concert in december. The TYY Choir has participated in many venues outside of Turku. The choir represented Finland in The international choir competition in Coleraine, Ireland in 2006. The competition could not have gone any better as The choir won in The category of mixed choir and was given The award as best choir. There are strong links to musical Theatre in that most songs are choreographed, and performing skills are a key element in making a song work. We rehearse every Tuesday, 6:30pm-9:00pm, in central London between Kings Cross and St Paul's. These young people togeTher with some pupils of The newly created Conservatory of Coria (1991), begin to take part in numerous religious acts where They interpret authors' plays like To. Lotti, W.A. Mozart, J.A. García, J.S. Bach, G.F. Haendel, and so on. In 1995 The young Sergio Asián takes charge of The choir direction leading it to offering its first concert in June 1996.
