Founded in 1977, the Choir has gained a well-deserved reputation for performing neglected and unfamiliar Music as well as better known and popular pieces, both sacred and secular. New members are welcome and encouraged to attend three rehearsals before an informal voice appraisal.

They specialise in modern Musical theatre and performance but also sing other genres including pop and gospel. The Choir's Music is arranged by Choir leader Nicole Dawson who is a trained composer and arranger. Rehearsals are every Wednesday at 7.30pm at Priory Hall, Christchurch and the Choir perform regularly all over the South Coast. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the Choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals.
