The BSRU Concert choir is the largest vocal ensemble in the BSRU Voice and Choral Studies Program at the College of Music, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhar University, Bangkok, Thailand. The choir is directed by Dr Casey Broadway.

Thompson. The 40-80 member A Cappella choir offers freshman and sophomore singers the opportunity to perform works for larger choirs and to fine-tune the art of choral singing through exposure to music from the Renaissance through the 21st century. In daily rehearsals, choir members hone musicianship skills such as rhythm, sight-reading and the understanding of complex scores. They develop an understanding of the intricacies of vocal production, including pitch and how to blend individual voices together into a unified, beautiful sound. Finally, members learn how to sing in an ensemble and to successfully meld as a team. The choir frequently performs with other School of Music ensembles, including the Utah Philharmonia orchestra, the Wind Ensemble, the Chamber choir and Women’s Chorus. The choir performs three or more significant concerts in Edinburgh each year, and has become known further afield through broadcasts and concerts in Scotland, touring abroad, and singing in support of local and national charities.

We are committed singers, who can prepare music independently before a short intensive rehearsal series, and hAve opportunities...  moreIrish Doctors choir members are enthusiastic and experienced singers, mostly, but not exclusively, doctors or medical students. We are committed singers, who can prepare music independently before a short intensive rehearsal series, and hAve opportunities to perform some of the great works from the classical choral repertoire to a high standard and in exciting venues. We also enjoy singing simple music well at smaller performances on our rehearsal weekends and at conference events. Although our performances are mostly in Ireland, we hAve quite a few singers from other countries, including UK, France, Germany and Sweden. During 2020, we hAve held online rehearsals using Zoom and produced two online concerts, raising 11,000 Euro for charity.  less

Its activities soon expanded and now include a regular concert programme, weddings and services throughout Staffordshire and the West Midlands, and guest appearances at other cathedrals. The choir has a versatile repertoire of sacred and secular music ranging from the Renaissance to the contemporary, and it enjoys the challenge of new and experimental writing.
