It's mission is to motivate, enrich, inspire and engage the youth in working for God through evangelism with Music. It is open to all youth who members of Medoma Central S.D.A. Church and are between the ages of 10 and 45. It's membership currently stands at 60. The Choir performs during church services and other programs organised by the church. Calon Lân is a Welsh hymn that is sung at most rugby matches involving the Welsh national team. ABOUT THE Music: This arrangement is split into four ideas all linked together generationally. The first verse is meant to symbolize a departed parent comforting their grown child from the great beyond. To be more specific, the parent is singing this lullaby to their child in a dream. I felt the Latin word “Lux” (Light) was an appropriate fit for the imagery of sunlight and heavenly light. The second verse represents the grown child waking up from the dream (first verse). This verse is meant to be bittersweet rather than strictly sad or angry. While there is grieving, the melody imparts comfort through nostalgia and memories. When the second verse gloriously blooms into the third, this represents everlasting love shining through even the darkest of times. Although gone, one will live in the heart and memory of another forever. Biography The Celestial City Choir was initiated by two Music students at University of Education, Winneba in 2010. It's formation or foundation began in early January 2011. The members who contributed to the founding were all members from Bantama Seventh-Day Adventist Church about 8 members. Later more hands were called in and official inauguration was done on June 4th 2011.  less
