It strives to enrich the lives of...  moreThe Southern California Children’s Chorus (SCCC), Orange County’s only chorus dedicated exclusively to meeting the educational and performance needs of children, seeks to do more than introduce youth to music and singing. It strives to enrich the lives of its members through programs stressing musical aptitude, teamwork, discipline, self-confidence and personal growth. Music camps, social outings, concert tours and an annual, child-involved fundraiser are combined with weekly rehearsals and live performances to create the type of nurturing environment that enables members to mature musically and socially. The SCCC and its musical directors serve as mentors, coaches and friends to students in a variety of socioeconomic levels.  less

We have enjoyed performing under conductor...  moreA small group, who enjoy singing together, perform a wide range of sacred and secular music, mainly a capella. We rehearse fortnightly on Tuesday evenings at Holy Angels Church, Hale Barns, Cheshire WA15 0HF. We have enjoyed performing under conductors Christopher Foy, Imelda Leah, Jon Henderson and Kate Shipway who took over as Musical Director in June 2013.

Founded in 1970 by a group of enthusiastic amateur singers, our repertoire ranges from the great classical choral works to modern ...  moreFrodsham & District Choral Society is a thriving, friendly, non-auditioned mixed voice choir of 90 singers of all ages. Founded in 1970 by a group of enthusiastic amateur singers, our repertoire ranges from the great classical choral works to modern contemporary pieces. Under the skilled direction of Howard Kane, who was appointed musical director in 2008, and ably assisted by Robert Woods the choir has grown in size and reputation. Rehearsals Monday nights are rehearsal nights which are held in Frodsham Methodist Church, Kingsley Rd, WA6 6BA from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. New members are welcome to come along and give us a try. We rehearse from September through to July for our four main concerts, which are held in Frodsham, and also take our music to other venues in the area. Groups of singers from within the choir are available to sing at weddings and the choir regularly puts on events to raise money for local charities.  less

Concerts by the group feature a cappella music of Scandinavia and the Baltics, as well as North-American composers. Music by composers such as Mäntyjärvi, Daniel-Lesur, Rautavaara, Martin and Pärt are ideal showcases for the choir’s lush and full sound. Members of the group are dedicated to excellence in rehearsing and performing. With a repertoire consisting of 8 to 16-part music, the twenty singers are mostly performing as soloists. Now in its fifth season, voces boreales has already performed in a number of prestigious concert series, such as the National Arts Centre eXpres- sion series, Musique Chez Nous at Bishop's University, Mondial Choral Laval and the Montreal International Bach-Academy. The ensemble voces boreales is produced by the Montreal Choral Institute and appears in its various educational events, such as the Montreal Choral Masterclass.  less
