Our choristers' talents and musicality are nurtured, Their Voices are trained, They are taught correct diction and musical expression. We aid harmonious growth - in terms of both musical and personal development of our vocalists. Alla Polacca Children and Youth Choir is affiliated with The Teatr Wielki/Grand Theatre - Polish National Opera in Warsaw. The choir consists of 200 choristers performing in four age groups. The choir was founded three decades ago by Sabina Wlodarska, a recognized music educator and student of maestro Stefan Stuligrosz. In 2014, Anna Bednarska took over from Sabina Wlodarska as Alla Polacca's conductor and artistic director. The Choir was formed in 1986 initiAlly to provide a choir for Midnight Eucharist on Christmas Eve, but since Then we have become an established part of The Wells CaThedral scene, and now Sing 40 to 50 of The regular services throughout The Year, as well as some of The festival services which include a Requiem Mass on All Soul’s Day. We are an amateur auditioned choir of 30 and strive for a high standard, so for potential members it is important to have a reasonable sight-Singing ability. InitiAlly formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gaTher togeTher to Sing, more formal concerts were later organized and presented. In addition to two planned concerts a Year (a Christmas concert in The FAll and a Spring concert), There are frequently requests from local organizations for appearances. For example, in The spring of 2011, The group performed at The Wright BroThers Monument for The Centennial of The Wright BroThers Glider Flight. The repertoire of The Outer Banks Chorus ranges from The Classical to Broadway, and spirituals of All kinds and in different languages.
