We are passionate about polyphony! We love to sing music from regions around the world which have a strong tradition of singing in harmony. Music from Eastern Europe, Georgia, Africa and Jamaica etc finds its way into our repertoire. We also love to sing some beautiful classical works and Mozart, Bortniansky and Bach is much loved by the singers. Most of our music is unaccompanied, except when our very talented instrumentalists (guitar, harp, cello, ukes, bodhran...) bring their instruments.  less

VRC ensemble, is a non-auditioned rock/pop choir, accompanied by a live, professional band, performing at various venues in Toronto. We sing in 3 or 4 part harmony and have a great time!

In the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. It is made up of local people from Stirling and the surrounding areas, aged 15yrs old to 65yrs old, from students to nurses to teachers...and their repertoire includes songs by surprising bands and singers such as The Kings of Leon and Primal Scream. After only 2 months together, The Heart of Scotland Choir were delighted to be given the opportunity to sing at Stirling Castle’s 2010 Hogmanay Celebrations which then led to a spot on Ewen Cameron’s Real Radio Breakfast Show in the same week! 2011 has proved to be a phenomenal year for the HOS Choir. They have performed at numerous charity events across the central belt of Scotland, sold out their first concert at Stirling's Albert Halls, and appeared on John Barrowman's BBC1 show Tonight's The Night....they are now working towards their next Albert Halls concert in December 2011 and making plans to record Second Summer along with...    less

It is a choir ensemble of about 25 people, mainly amateurs. They share an incredible passion for music and are keen on spreading their positive singing energy. The choir is known for its modern choral music repertoire, consisting of songs from all over the world as well as pop music masterpieces. The group was awarded a silver medal in pop music category during 5th 'Music Everywhere Festival' in Gdansk in 2019. So far, the choir has performed in several places in Poland, often the non-obvious ones, trying to make choral music available to everyone. The choir’s conductor, Zuzanna Popiołkiewicz, graduated from Conducting faculty at the Academy of Music in Gdansk.
