It consists of 27 members and a 5 piece band. Their ages range from 18 to 35 years and they are based in Kwazulu Natal. THE members of this choir come from many different places around Zululand and 90% of them are unemployed. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES • The main aim of this choir is to gather people who have the same vision together to produce good ‘live’ performances. Also to record strong material and spread the word of God through music. • To search for talent and make use of it in the most profitable way. • To create job opportunities for the youth. • To grow and develop artists in music. • To make a difference in people’s lives by creating job opportunities. WE audition artists who apply to us and then choose the very best. WE rehearse every weekend (Fridays and Saturdays) in Richards Bay. WE compose songs and also encourage choir members to do the same. Performed by The Malabon Concert Singers as their chosen "maka-bayan" piece at the 5th Biñan National Choral Competition last February 3, 2022. Founded in 1970 by a group of enthusiastic amateur Singers, our repertoire ranges from the great classical choral works to modern contemporary pieces. Under the skilled direction of Howard Kane, who was appointed musical director in 2008, and ably assisted by Robert Woods the choir has grown in size and reputation. Rehearsals Monday nights are rehearsal nights which are held in Frodsham Methodist Church, Kingsley Rd, WA6 6BA from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. New members are welcome to come along and give us a try. We rehearse from September through to July for our four main concerts, which are held in Frodsham, and also take our music to other venues in the area. Groups of Singers from within the choir are available to sing at weddings and the choir regularly puts on events to raise money for local charities.  less
