Looking for pulse-pounding tempos or soulful ballads? You've come to the right place. Our repertoire spans all musical genres, from barbershop standards to jazz and Broadway musical standards through to Pop and Rock music from the likes of Queen, Michael Jackson and The Eurythmics. Whether you're looking for a place to sing with others, or searching for a dynamic chorus or quartet to perform at your next show or corporate event, GAC are the group for you. We are made up of around 60 women from all over Auckland, from a diverse range of backgrounds, ages and occupations who come together to share a love of singing and performing. While singing at night, by day we have doctors, lawyers, real estate agents, a clinical psychologist, teachers, mums and more who all use their involvement with Greater Auckland Chorus as a crucial creative outlet. ...    less

W...  moreThameside Harmony has been in existence for over 30 years. A ladies' a capella four part harmony group we have our roots in barbershop but sing all sorts of music from old standards and barbershop classics to mega pop hits by groups like Abba and Queen. We perform sing outs for local groups in our area of Hampton in South West London, and take part in local fairs and festivals. Our weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays are a fun evening of singing, chatting and having fun together. We are always open to having new members. Experience is not required, nor is the ability to read music as we have 'teach tracks' with the songs in your part on (tenor, lead, baritone or bass) and access to these are given alongside sheet music. From time to time we run singing courses or open evenings for which there are no auditions. Since its formation it has presented well over 100 perfor...  moreThe Elgar Chorale is a Worcester-based group of up to 40 singers, founded by Dr Donald Hunt which has always specialised in English music, with a particular emphasis on the works of Edward Elgar. Since its formation it has presented well over 100 performances and ppeared at each of the Worcester Three Choirs Festivals from 1981 to 1996. Performances have included world premières of works by Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, Herbert Sumsion and Howard Blake, and a British première of Leonard Bernstein’s Missa Brevis. The Chorale was also the principal choral group at the Highly successful Elgar Festivals at Worcester in 2007 and 2009, and last year enjoyed a concert tour in Devon, singing at Colyton, Dartmouth, Exeter and Torquay. It is proud to have Dame Janet Baker, C.H as its Patron.  less
