Sin...  moreWhen Fred Reinagel founded The Vail Chorale in 2011, his goal was simple: to create a non-auditioned community chorus that would provide an opportunity for choral music-making on Tucson’s east Side, welcoming singers of all ages and musical skills. Since its inception, The Vail Chorale has been entertaining local audiences with Fall and Spring concerts that feature musical styles for every taste. Performances have taken place at various locations including Empire and Cienega High Schools, the Arizona Senior Academy, and the Del Webb Lodge at Rancho del Lago. Chorale members have included high school students as well as adults of all ages, who have found that the intergenerational experience has added to the fun of singing together. Concert attendees have remarked at the obvious enjoyment and enthusiasm that comes across to the audience. The Vail Chorale is directed by Fred Reinagel, the Chorale’s founder. Here, our lovely singers have made it into a conversation – a shared experienced between the women. It’s been beautifully arranged by Moira Smiley and Vida, but was written by John Prine, a Chicago folk musician. There are two new singers in this ensemble: Rosi, a deep dark bass, standing back left, and Marie, sitting at the front right with the cowboy hat on. Both singers have been a wonderful addition to our choir. Adele in the rocking chair, Annabelle standing right, and Katherine with baby Erin (who LOVES harmony!) complete the group, all of which you have seen many times in concert! We love the song and hope you do too. With this song, we are raising money for a charity close to our hearts, Dartmoor Search and Rescue Ashburton. The evangelist tells the story, arias convey the inner feelings of us humans as we gaze upon the Golgotha scene and choruses and chorales reflect on our own place in the drama. Bach's incredible work of art stands alone in its complete telling of the crucifixion story in a manner which stirs and moves the soul of the performer and listener. Male voice singing is traditio...  moreMevagissey is a small fishing village with a population of approximately 2,000 people. It is situated on the south coast of the County of Cornwall, the area of England protruding into the Atlantic Ocean facing North America. Male voice singing is traditionally very popular in the county, there being 33 federated choirs numbering 1,300 singers out of a total population of nearly half a million. The choir was formed in 1974 and quickly matured into one of the leading and largest male choirs in Cornwall. It now has over 55 members including several founder members. The choir gives around 25 concerts each year, raising many thousands of pounds for various charities. On the 10th July 2010 they celebrated their 900th public appearance. During a concert tour of Gibraltar in 1979 they performed in the famous St. Michael's Cave. Subsequent tours have been to Holland/Northern Germany, to the Black Forest area of Germany on two occasions and in 1990 the choir had a 14 day tour as guests of the Niagara Wine and Grape ...    less
