The choir performed onstage for The first time on 12th August 2017, in The city of Batumi in Georgia. This concert was organized under The auspices of The Turkish consulate general in Batumi, in The concert hall of The Zakaria Paliashvili Music School. A selection of modern polyphonic songs from various cultures were performed and The performance received great praise from The audience. Then The choir respectively appeared in front of audiences in Ankara, Kastamonu and Adana, followeed by Their participation in Turkey Choirs Festival in June. Then in August, Anchorus participated in The competition episode of The “Orhid Choir Festival” which was held in The town of Orhid in Macedonia.

Zur Zeit bestehen die CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN aus 56 Sängerinnen und Sänge... moreBei den CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN handelt es sich um einen Kinder- und Jugendchor des Gymnasiums Illertissen, der seit September 2001 besteht und einen Auswahlchor dieser Schule darstellt. Zur Zeit bestehen die CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN aus 56 Sängerinnen und Sängern im Alter von 11 bis 16 Jahren. Mit viel Freude und Engagement proben diese Kinder bzw. Jugendlichen einmal in der Woche je nach Stimmgruppe zwei bis vier Stunden. Fünfmal im Jahr gibt es Intensiv-Probensamstage und einmal im Jahr Intensiv-Probentage im Allgäu.
Der Chor hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, anspruchsvolle Chorliteratur verschiedener Stilepochen zu interpretieren. Dabei möchte er sich bewusst von vielen Klischees wenig kultivierten, schulchormäßigen Singens distanzieren und ist bei der Programmgestaltung darauf bedacht, dies auch nach außen hin sichtbar und hörbar zu machen. „Popularmusik“ ist Bestandteil, jedoch auf keinen Fall substanzieller Grundsatz der musikalischen Arbeit. Male voice singing is traditionally very Popular in The county, There being 33 federated choirs numbering 1,300 singers out of a total Population of nearly half a million.
The choir was formed in 1974 and quickly matured into one of The leading and largest male choirs in Cornwall. It now has over 55 members including several founder members.
The choir gives around 25 concerts each year, raising many thousands of pounds for various charities. On The 10th July 2010 They celebrated Their 900th public appearance. During a concert tour of Gibraltar in 1979 They performed in The famous St. Michael's Cave. The Choir is a training Choir with The children having opportunities to sing or speak solo lines and learn harmonies. Current members are aged between 4 and 12.
The Harmonic Minors is The Major Minors Children's Choir's extension group. This is an auditioned choir for older children and teens.
