免除世罪者 Qui tollis peccata mundi 韋瓦第使用了無比優美的和聲、極緩慢的速度、不斷變化的音程，刻畫出人類祈望耶穌垂聽 禱告的心願。全曲更以半音階的和聲進行，前半段4/4拍以沈穩的方式唱出「天主免除世 人罪過」，之後轉換成3/2拍，速度較急切的說出「請接受、請接受我的祈禱」，以迫切 的感覺深刻描繪出耶穌基督將世人罪過除去的恩典。 指揮: 翁佳芬 伴奏: 巴洛克獨奏家樂團 時間: 2007/12/11 地點: 高雄市文化中心至德堂

The poem is a response to the 8th "O Antiphon" for Advent O Virgin of virgins, how shall this be? For neither before thee was any like thee, nor shall there be after. Daughters of Jerusalem, why marvel ye at me? The thing which ye behold is a divine mystery. Who are the daughters of Jerusalem, Who glimpse you still as you transform their seeing? Whom have you called to this mysterium, And bathed in the blithe fountain of your being? Daughters of sorrow, daughters of despair, The cast-aside, the overlooked, the spurned The broken girls who scarcely breathe a prayer The ones whose love has never been returned. To begin with I wasn't sure, since they seemed somewhat re...  moreOn Christmas Eve morning 2017, I was approached by a member of our congregation who said he had been inspired by the Holy Ghost to write some words and that he would like me to set them to music. To begin with I wasn't sure, since they seemed somewhat repetitive, but as the day progressed to the early afternoon I found that I was also inspired (I even missed lunch!). The piece varies in mode from D Dorian to A Aeolian. The performance is by me (multi-tracking).

Although relatively small in number, the ...  moreThe Renaissance Choir is an amateur choir of very high standard and reputation. The choir’s repertoire imaginatively balances unaccompanied Choral music from the Renaissance period with 19th - 21st century works. Although relatively small in number, the choir is accomplished in singing music in both double and triple choir form. Particular specialisms include the works of William Byrd, Thomas Tallis and Tómas Luis da Victoria. The choir has performed in many prestigious venues in Europe, including Notre-Dame in Paris, Chartres cathedral and Versailles. Events such as the Prague Spring International Festival (Czech Republic) have also featured the choir. In 2006, in Budapest, the choir performed Tallis’s towering 40-part motet Spem in Alium, with the internationally renowned Budapest Monteverdi Choir. In 2008 the choir enjoyed a trip to the Lisbon region and sang in some truly fantastic venues, including Mosteiro dos Jerónimos.  less
