Singing mostly Israeli songs, Members of the choir are from various professions: Doctors, Lawyers, Engeeners, Social workers, Scientists, teachers.artists, The thing we have in common is our love of singing together , the challenge of improving our skills by studying and practicing in order to get an impressive final result. Our musical director and conductor is one of the best most appreciated musicians in Israel ,he has a lot of experience and all our repertoire consists of his very special arrangements. Our repertoire consists of various musical styles : Israeli folk classics, Translated international songs by the Beatles and others, Gospels, A Cappella pieces. The choir participated in Radio and T.V shows , and in choir competitions, and is highly regarded as one of the best amateur choirs in Israel.  less

Siyabonga Dlamini and Sibusiso Sithole, with the primary objective (/s) of rehearsing and performing choral music, providing musical services to the community when the need arises, to provide a musical home for all interested in the greater Pretoria and Johannesburg area and to promote the standard of choral music. Secondarily Tswelopele aims to educate its members in the singing of all types of choral music, arrange concerts for the general public to attend, perform choral works with other choirs and participate in various competitions and music festivals in the community. The choir currently consists of 48 choristers. The choir being fairly young went to its first (TCMA) competition on October 18th 2015, winning first place in the development section. The choir has since went on to perform at Computeshare and Standard Bank respectively. Tswelopele Chorus attended its first GACMA competition on May 29th 2016 and placed 6TH in the standard category. At present the choir has 34 members. The group’s repertoire is very eclectic: from spirituals to sacred polyphony, from pop music to regional and international folk songs. The ensemble has performed in many beautiful churches and other landmarks in Rome and in Central Italy, with concerts in the most important concert halls in the capital city and festivals in many wonderful villas and palaces scattered around the countryside near Rome. In 2007 and 2009 the choir participated with great enthusiasm in the International Choir Festival in Val Pusteria. In the 2010 regional choir contest at Formello the choir came first in the pop category and second in the category for choral music from the 20th and 21st centuries.
