Paul Rudoi, winner of MCA's 2011 "Young Composer's Composition Competition" and member of Cantus (also based in Minneapolis), has written a special composition for The combined ensembles that will be premiered in Milwaukee, Then repeated in two performances when MCA travels to Minneapolis to perform with The National LuTheran Choir on Their All Saints' programs November 3 and 4, 2012. For The first time, The choir came togeTher in The evening of October 18, when about 90 students gaThered at Riga Secondary School No 2. The testing of voices was not very strict, and of The entire enthusiastic crowd only one student was rejected. Then, for a month, rehearsals were held, in which The voices of would-be singers were trained and made to keep in tune. After that anoTher testing was held. This time The competition was much stricter, and only 40 singers were selected.
