The choir had recently given the first South American (and second overall) performance of my “Alleluia! O virga mediatrix”. Along the way I'd been chatting with a choir member about Pope Francis' Argentine heritage – a setting of text from an Argentine translation of the Bible seemed especially fitting. For security reasons, we could not take footage but everyone...  moreOn 26 of May, 2012, members of SoundRoutes choirs from across Glasgow and Lanarkshire visited Addiewell prison for the day to record a 4 track Ep "Changing Key" with the Addiewell Prison Choir. For security reasons, we could not take footage but everyone who was present knows that the atmosphere was electric. An unlikely place to experience joy and community spirit, music brought together people from dramatically different backgrounds and gave them a common purpose. All proceeds go to Shelter Scotland.
