Siyabonga Dlamini and Sibusiso Sithole, with the primary objective (/s) of rehearsing and performing choral music, providing musical services to the community when the need arises, to provide a musical home for all interested in the greater Pretoria and Johannesburg area and to promote the standard of choral music. Secondarily Tswelopele aims to educate its members in the singing of all types of choral music, arrange concerts for the general public to attend, perform choral works with other choirs and participate in various competitions and music festivals in the community. The choir currently consists of 48 choristers. The choir being fairly young went to its first (TCMA) competition on October 18th 2015, winning first place in the development section. The choir has since went on to perform at Computeshare and Standard Bank respectively. Tswelopele Chorus attended its first GACMA competition on May 29th 2016 and placed 6TH in the standard category. Die Ursprünge des Europäischen Kammerchores liegen beim internationalen Chorleitungskurs in St. Moritz (Schweiz) im Jahre 2003. Seitdem treffen sich die engagierten Chorsängerinnen und -sänger aus Deutschland und den europäischen Nachbarstaaten mehrmals im Jahr in Köln zu konzentrierten Probenphasen, in denen anspruchsvolle Chorprogramme erarbeitet und dem Publikum vorgestellt werden. Dabei widmet sich der Chor immer wieder gern jenen Kleinodien des unbegleiteten Gesanges, die in Kirche und Konzertsaal seltener zu hören sind, ohne dabei die großen Werke vergangener Epochen außer Acht zu lassen.
