However, we also hope to raise sufficient funds to record this so that it can become more widely available, and are appealing to as many people as possible to participate in the project by giving whatever they would like, in return for a reward or perk. It's quite a good way of pre-ordering the CD ! The Singers are directed by Dr Simon Lindley, the choir's Music Director since its formation in June 1977 More information about St Peter's Singers, including details of forthcoming concerts, recitals and services, can be found on on the choir's website http...    less

Text from "Ode" by Arthur O'Shaughnessy with additional verses by Patti Drennan. Recorded live on May 3, 2015, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Performed by the Chamber Singers ensemble of the Girl Choir of South Florida. Artistic Director: Wallis Peterson, Accompanist: Gayle Giese. We are the music makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;— World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems.  less

We are an auditioning, non-professional Chamber choir, performing a diverse programme of repertoire at regular intervals throughout the year. We draw our membership from the hugely successful EC4 Music, a choir and orchestra that is widely regarded as one of the leading large amateur groups in London, and it is from this platform of success that CCoV takes its lead. EC4 Music recently performed at the Barbican for the fifth time, raising money for The Prince’s Trust and is also very excited to be making its Royal Festival Hall debut in October this year to mark the grand finale of the Lord Mayor's Appeal 2011. Lord Mayor, Michael Bear's appeal supports children’s charity Coram and RedR, a charity that trains and provides engineers and other relief workers to respond to worldwide emergencies. The celebratory all-English programme concludes with Walton's stunning Belshazzar's Feast. With the aim of producing one of the best amateur Chamber choi...    less
