We are committed to building community through excellence in a cappella harmony, and we love to learn. We rehearse weekly to improve our vocal skills and build lasting friendships in the process. Although we have diverse backgrounds, our members thrive by working together to achieve shared goals. We sing a range of repertoire from jazz standards to 21st-century pop, barbershop to show tunes, but most importantly we sing a cappella. As well as entertaining audiences across the eastern suburbs of Melbourne we compete regularly in barbershop harmony competitions at a national level. Huddersfield Piazza on Saturday 12/5/12 @ 11am - A group of Singers from the Gledholt Male Voice Choir, Marsh Ladies Choir and other choirs from as far a field as Cheshire and Harrogate plus a few willing Hollybank trust staff surprised the onlooking sho...  moreHuddersfield Piazza on Saturday 12/5/12 @ 11am - A group of Singers from the Gledholt Male Voice Choir, Marsh Ladies Choir and other choirs from as far a field as Cheshire and Harrogate plus a few willing Hollybank trust staff surprised the onlooking shoppers by performing an impromptu performance of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. The rousing performance was part of Gledholt MVC's Gala day which included performances from Elvis, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Pipe Band and also a Zumba class. There was also a concert in Huddersfield town hall in the evening. Out Aloud is Sheffield's Gay choir. It was formed in 2006 and enables lesbians, gay men, bisexual and transgendered people in Sheffield to enjoy singing as a community. There are no auditions and members dont need to be experenced Singers or read music.
