We may be studying physics, philosophy or French in our off hours, yet once we don the Blue Blazer our voices and hearts are unified in singing about all that is good in the world. Reverent to rambunctious, Hebrew to Hindi, our brotherhood would like to share it all with you.

The group meets regularly in the Birnam Arts Centre in the village of Birnam, by Dunkeld, in Perthshire. Just Singin’ grew out of a nightclass which was offered from early 2003 by Birnam Institute and led by folksinger, and trained voice teacher, Christine Kydd. With Christine still a very big part of our culture, Just Singin’ is now a membership-based organisation and charity in its own right. Its programme of events and tutors is coordinated by an active volunteer committee and their work is complemented by a number of supportive group members. We have just released a CD called A Cup o' Kindness, made possible by funding from Griffin Wind Farms Community Fund. It is available on iTunes.  less

Don't throw away your shot to join us in our milestone 25th season, including songs from Hamilton, Coldplay and Dear Evan Hansen! Are you a legal professional who's looking for a fresh way to connect with your musical interests and like-minded legal eagles while giving back meaningfully to our community? The 80+ voice New York City Bar Chorus ("CBC") will conduct a limited number of auditions (brief, private and low-pressure), with primary focus on baritones, basses and high sopranos, for our fall 2017 cycle. We rehearse about three Tuesday evenings per month, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, in midtown Manhattan to produce what listeners describe as a professional-quality sound, spanning musical theater, jazz, pop/rock, Gospel and classical styles. For example, this fall's repertoire will include sophisticated arrangements of Tony- and Oscar-winning music from Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, The Wiz and La La Land.
